His great passion for cuisine led Luigi to open Ohima’ in 2018 with his si- ster Francesca, giving new life to the tailor shop in Positano where their mother had worked for years.
Every aspect of the place is carefully well-finished, starting from the name, that is a real dedication to the mother. In fact, in Positano “ohi ma” is a familiar expression you use to address your mother, and it was chosen as a symbol of their profound and essential relationship.
Ohimà is close to its origins, but chooses a new form. Both sewing and cooking are arts belonging to the Italian tradition, and are the result of a process involving skill, creativity and incredible forms of expression that make Italians stand out all over the world.
Luigi, in addition to being one of the owners, is Ohimà’s head chef. In his dishes, tradition and innovation are mixed to create unique combinations. Quality ingredients and creativity are the basis of every recipe for him and offer incredible emotions to the diners. Francesca, on the other hand, has given the place a modern imprint, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere, where each customer can experience an unforget- table journey through flavours.
